Privacy Policy
General information
The protection of your personal data is very important to us. We therefore process your data exclusively on the basis of the statutory provisions (GDPR, TKG 2003). In this privacy policy, we inform you about what data we process within the scope of our website, for what purpose, and what rights you have.
Collection and processing of personal data
Our website can generally be visited without providing any personal data. Personal data is only collected if you voluntarily enter it in our registration form for software downloads. This includes the following data:
- Name
- Email address
This information is required in order to provide you with the download link for the desired software and to ensure that the download works properly.
Purpose of data processing
The above data is processed solely for the purpose of providing the software download, managing your request, and, if necessary, contacting you in case of queries relating to the download. The data will not be used for any other purpose (e.g., for advertising or newsletters) or passed on to third parties.
Legal basis for processing
Depending on the usage situation, your data will be processed on the following legal bases:
- Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR – for the performance of a contract or to take steps prior to entering into a contract.
- Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR – based on your consent, if you voluntarily provide additional information or allow further use.
Storage and deletion
Your data will only be stored for as long as is necessary to fulfill the stated purpose. Once the download has been completed or after the last contact has been made, your data will be deleted after 12 months at the latest, unless there is a legal obligation to retain it or you have expressly consented to longer storage.
Transfer of data
Your personal data will not be transferred to third parties. The only exceptions to this are service providers that we use to provide our website or to process downloads (e.g., web hosting providers). These providers process data exclusively on our behalf and on the basis of a data processing agreement in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.
Server log files and security
Our hosting provider automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits. This data (e.g., IP address, time of access, browser type) is used exclusively to ensure technical operation, system security, and error analysis. This data is not merged with other data sources. To protect your data, we use SSL encryption (HTTPS) to secure data during transmission as best as possible.
Cookies and tracking
We do not use tracking tools, analysis cookies or advertising cookies. Only technically necessary cookies that are required for the operation of the website (e.g. session cookies) are set. These do not contain any personal data and are automatically deleted when you close your browser.
Your rights
Even though we do not currently process any personal data, we would like to point out that, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you are entitled to the following rights:
You have the right at any time to
- Information about your personal data stored by us (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Correction of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Deletion of your data (‘right to be forgotten’, Art. 17 GDPR)
- Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
- Withdrawal of consent (Art. 7(3) GDPR)
If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or that your data protection rights have been violated in any other way, please contact us using the contact details above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority: Austrian Data Protection Authority, Barichgasse 40-42, 1030 Vienna.
Changes to this privacy policy
This privacy policy is currently valid from 1 November 2025. Should there be any changes with regard to data processing, e.g. due to the future use of services that collect personal data, we will amend the privacy policy accordingly and update the date.
